Sandra Davis - Managing Partner
Sandra Davis is an organization consultant, certified executive and personal coach, facilitator, planner, and conflict resolution and mediation professional. For more than 25 years, she has been helping public and private organizations learn how to listen and respond to their internal and external knowledge and communities of influence. Developing and managing innovative programs, Sandra’s work resolves complex issues facing communities, governments, businesses and organizations. She has realized significant results evaluating and transforming organizations, becoming a trusted strategic advisor on communications, change management, leadership development, strategic planning, team development, process improvement, community-building, performance improvement, and conflict resolution. She has also developed and conducted many effective stakeholder involvement and education programs. Over the years, her ability to be an effective bridge communicator has taken her into many forums that require bringing together diverse constituencies towards a common goal. She has been on the leading edge of training people in the ground of dialogue, a communications tool for providing a safe, non-judgmental environment for addressing multifaceted and often contentious issues.

Sandra has worked with local and state agencies in developing and implementing innovative planning programs related to transportation, ports, intergovernmental mergers and coordination, local economic development, business continuity/emergency planning, wetlands and critical areas plans, watershed plans and Low Impact Development. She served two terms on the Planning Commission for the City of Seattle, is on the board of the Planning Association of Washington, and serves on an Alumni Advisory Board for Western Washington University.

She has also developed and led eco-cultural education programs in Mexico and Alaska.

David Sale - Partner
David Sale is a Human and Natural Systems Ecologist, with 30 years of professional experience working at the interface of science, technology, people and the environment. As a field engineer, he worked throughout the US Pacific NW and Alaska evaluating building environmental systems (water, HVAC, electrical, plumbing) for energy management and occupant comfort, working with alternative energy and evaluating energy use and conservation. As an ecologist, he has worked for the States of Alaska and Washington as a scientist developing and coordinating monitoring and assessment programs, as a liaison to federal agencies regarding large scale scientific and social assessment, and as a natural resource and environmental policy analyst. As a consultant and agency scientist, his projects have included oil spill response, cleanup and restoration; sediment transport and contamination; development of large-scale ecological monitoring programs; ESA implementation; watershed planning and restoration; tribal subsistence use of public lands; long-term management of coastal resources, coastal erosion, and shoreline protection; Low Impact Development; development of ecosystem governance structures; collaborative marine monitoring and assessment; and the integration of Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) with scientific measurement.

As both a generalist and a specialist, David has combined his technical background with practical experience and training in facilitation of natural resource and environmental dialogue. He enjoys successes in the development of collaborative partnerships and practical organizational assessments that allow full integration of adaptive natural resource management and science. He has developed collaborative strategies for government agencies and business and facilitated collaborative processes throughout the Western US and Alaska. David is a former Board member of the Puget Soundkeeper Alliance (part of the Riverkeeper Network) and a member of the International Association of Public Participation.

David has owned and operated eco-tourism, sea kayaking, and river rafting operations in Alaska, Idaho and Mexico, and has taught and guided backcountry/Telemark skiing, sea kayaking, and SCUBA diving for over 30 years.
